A chance encounter with a fading painted sign in 2006 has taken Sam Roberts on a journey into the heart of the sign painting trade. He now edits and publishes an international magazine about the craft, and in this talk he'll share the adventures that he's had along the way. And explain why he believes that all things hand-crafted are even more important in these digital days.

Sam Roberts is the founder of Better Letters, established in 2013 to promote sign painting and foster appreciation for the craft. He organises events, manages sign painting projects, and supports the international community through workshops, films, and collaborations like BLAG, aimed at connecting and uplifting the trade.
