When standing at the threshold or on the brink of something it is necessary to move forward. This could be a jump, or perhaps a small step, for a shift to occur in which something is shed, dropped, and something new takes shape.
Limen is the dividing line between a sensation being too faint to be noticed and the point where it starts to be felt. It is a space where transformation can occur - the in-between moments, the places where change unfolds, where we cross from one state of being to another.
In this year’s annual exhibition, Limen: The Spaces Between, we present a collection of works that explore these liminal spaces. Through painting, drawing, photography, photo embroidery, installation, and AI-generated art, each piece invites us to reflect on the moments and experiences that shape us, on the spaces that transform us, and the power of transition.
“In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown,
and in between them, there are doors.”
― William Blake
